Your Guide: PMC Water Stop in Medfield

The PMC water stop needs you: Saturday, Aug. 3, 7:30 a.m. to cheer and support PMC cyclists as they ride through Medfield on their way to raise millions for cancer research.

Medfield Properties LLP encourages the public to join them on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 7:30 a.m. to cheer on and support -- with a water stop -- the PanMass Challenge cyclists as they ride through town raising money for cancer research.

Your help is needed to cheer on all riders, especially Medfield's 52 residents riding in this year's event.

According to PMC.org, 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar is donated to Dana Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund. The annual PMC bike-a-thon raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country. This year's tally as of Friday morning was just over $24 million with a goal of $38 million
