The Peak House is open every Sunday afternoon, 2-5 pm, in the summer. Yesterday was opening day, and 54 visitors stopped in - one of the best days ever!
Volunteer guides who work there regularly have heard a seemingly endless stream of visitors say, "I've lived in Medfield for 20 years and have never been inside the Peak House." But yesterday Doris Ricci of Needham (formerly of Milford) say, "I've been driving past this place on Route 109 for 80 years, but today is the first time I've stopped in. I'll be 101 next month."
Doris certainly did not look or act 100. She went up to the second floor unassisted. A caretaker who appeared to be in her 50s was her driver.
