On the article What Traffic Intersections Concern You?
Colleen M. Sullivan

ReplyToday is Prom Day, and it was a half day of school for all Medfield students..... the traffic in the center of town today was crazy and the backups were long, but the traffic problems in Medfield were not caused by the traffic lights. Today's intersection congestion and near accidents that I witnessed, were caused by the lack of patience on the part of numerous drivers and drivers that chose not to follow the rules of the road. For example, while Iwas sitting at the lights on North Street (waiting to go straight across to Pleasant Street) behind one vehicle wanting to turn left (but couldn't as a school bus was partially turned), two vehicles behind me chose to fly around my car (and the car in front of me) into the "right-only lane" and speed straight through the intersection with no concern about the school bus or the possibility of some other car coming out of Pleasant Street. When I was finally able to go straight across (and was behind those 2 cars) one of them chose to take a left at the stop sign (Pleasant/Oak) but NOT stop! In addition to this, I witnessed two other ridiculous driving issues in Medfield today, and none of these were HS age drivers....they were adults! Adults with no concern for other drivers and adults with no patience. Days like today are difficult when stuck in traffic, but everyone has someplace to go...patience and rules are important to all that drive on the roads.

On the article Medfield Voted A Top Place to Live, Do You Agree?

ReplyDid anyone else notice, however, that the Globe Magazine listed Medfield's population at 6,483, not 12,660? That was a rather large error and something prospective buyers might find quite misleading....

ReplyI think there are many good people with good ideas as to how Medfield can retain a part of our history in keeping the Lord's sign here! I thank them for their willingness to work on this and I totally support them. Private funds will be great to help defer the cost, but I support the article to appropriate funds. Past history is an important part of Medfield and we shouldn't forget the past in order to move toward the future.
