New School Superintendent: Dr. Jeffrey Marsden

Jeff Marsden was the Medfield School Committee's unanimous choice for the next Superintendent of Schools.

Sen. Scott Brown To United Chamber of Commerce Event: 'We Must Work Together'

In talking at a United Chamber of Commerce event, Senator Brown talks about the challenges and virtues of small business.

Senator Scott Brown spoke to various local business leaders at a United Regional Chamber of Commerce event Tuesday afternoon. Brown, a Wrentham resident, spoke about the importance of small business during the meeting, which took place at the Franklin Country Club. "I'm proud to be pro-business and pro-jobs legislation," he said. "The government can't create jobs, but it can create an environment where you can create jobs." He said the government must look at ways to encourage growth. "We can't get out of this mess overnight, but we do have the highest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world," he said. "It's not just Franklin competing with Wrentham any more — both of them are competing against the rest of the world." Brown spoke …

WRENTHAM – The Medfield High School football team (0-2, 0-0) committed four, first-quarter turnovers en route to a 42-7 loss to King Philip Friday night. In this battle of Warriors, Medfield fumbled twice, threw an interception and touched a punt that KP recovered on its first four drives.
