“What are little boys made of? Frogs and snails and puppy-dogs' tails, that's what little boys are made of.” A group of 14 third grade boys from Ralph Wheelock Elementary School have been proving that nursery rhyme wrong for two years now. These boys call themselves the “Community Warriors,” and for the past two years they have met on a monthly basis to perform a variety of community service projects throughout Medfield and beyond. Meet the Community Warriors: Two recent events stand out to show what these boys are really made of: On Wednesday, May 18, the Community Warriors had the privilege of interviewing seven local veterans at the Center on Ice House Road in honor of Memorial Day. A group of five girls raised money for Olivia Bonfilio and donated it at Sunday's "Walk for Olivia" event.

Sister and brother donate $52 to Medfield Animal Shelter.

Whiz Kids' Names: Samantha Howard, Jackson Howard. Whiz Kids' Ages: Samantha is five years old; Jackson is three years old. Whiz Kids' Accomplishments: The sister and brother raised $52 at a lemonade stand at the Ralph Wheelock School soccer field to benefit the Medfield Animal Shelter. Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness: The kids sold 52 cups of lemonade, for a $1 each, according to the shelter and made the $52 donation. Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness: Cahill, 13, was one of 23 students to compete in this year’s event held at Lombardo’s function facility in Randolph on Saturday. Whiz Kid's Name: Alex Stanton Whiz Kid's School: Medfield High School, Senior Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Stanton won first place gold in her two events at the Division 3 Indoor Track State Meet on Feb. 19 at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. Stanton placed first in the 55 meter hurdles and the 600 meters. She has committed to run Division I for Brown University next year.
