On Wednesday night, the Medfield Swimming and Diving team came back from winter break to beat Norton 103-83. The meet was very exciting and both teams put up great efforts. Junior Alec Haley won the 200 freestyle in 2:02.04. Senior Connor Haley won the 200 Individual Medley in 2:12.92. Haley also won the 500 freestyle in 5:05.07. Senior Peter Woodsum and Sophomore JJ Fedak came in first and second place in the 50 freestyle. Woodsum finished in a personal best time of 24.02; Fedak finished in a 25.81. Warriors lose first TVL decision to first-place Westwood.
FRANKLIN – The Medfield High School boys' hockey team committed too many mistakes in crucial areas of the ice and missed an opportunity to take over first place in the Tri-Valley League standings after a 3-2 loss to Westwood Saturday at Veteran's Arena in Franklin. "The thing that got us was situational pressure," said Medfield High head coach Toby Carlow. "In the third period, it's a one-goal game against a team that everyone says is the best team in the state, and our guys just didn't handle that pressure well." Despite the mental mistakes late in the game, Medfield applied plenty of pressure on Westwood, starting with a goal 45 seconds into the contest.
