The Medfield High School's Boys' Varsity Big Blue Basketball team had two huge wins last week. Tuesday -- Medfield vs. Norton On Tuesday, the team defeated Norton by a score of 60-59. Highlights included: Friday -- Medfield vs. Hopkinton On Friday, the team took on first-place Hopkinton and earned a hard fought win with a final score of 61-48. Highlights included: With the win against Norton, the Big Blue qualified for the State Tournament. Both Norton and Hopkinton beat the Big Blue the first time around the schedule but not this time. Last week, the Medfield High School's Boys "Big Blue" Basketball team's seven game winning streak came to an end in Ashland. The team lost a hard fought game 55-47. Drew Shea lead the team with 16 points and John Zimmerman chipped in with 13. Friday night, the team got back on the winning track with a come-from-behind 60-48 win over a pesky Millis team. Down by one at the half, the team came out with much better focus and energy and held Millis to just 19 second half points. Drew Shea had 24 points and 10 rebounds, John Zimmerman had 19 …

Medfield High School Boys' Varsity Basketball team played Norton on Friday and Hopkinton on Tuesday. This Friday, Dec. 21, is the home opener against Dover-Sherborn at 6:30 p.m.

The boy's varsity basketball team had a tough start to their season. Friday, Dec. 14 at Norton On Friday, they dropped a heartbreaking one point loss to Norton High School 49-48. Remy Fragola led the team with 18 points, Drew Shea shipped in with 10. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Hopkinton On Tuesday, the Big Blue traveled to undefeated Hopkinton and lossed 69-49.
