Selectmen's Agenda Includes More Development Off Ice House Road

The selectmen's meeting starts tonight at 7 p.m.

  The Board of Selectmen will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the Town House among the agenda items are next year's budget and a discussion with developer Robert Borrelli about further development on Ice House Road.  In June of 2011, Borrelli suggested building a sports facility -- a 120,000 square foot building that could host soccer, lacrosse and basketball activities and would include locker rooms, showers, and rest rooms -- on a 2.8 acre site owned by the town and leased to the Kingsbury Club Medfield, Inc. plus another portion of land -- about 11.2 acres -- not then leased to anyone. Medfield Food Cupboard Provides Thanksgiving Dinner for 36 Families

The Medfield Food Cupboard held its annual Thanksgiving distribution this past week.

With the help of the Medfield Food Cupboard, 36 families will have a full table this Thanksgiving. The food cupboard depends on the generosity of individuals and groups in Medfield and neighboring communities in order to feed the families that depend on its service.    Local families were able to fill their bags with those items as well as donations of fresh potatoes, onions, carrots and garlic donated by the Wheelock School Victory Garden; homemade breads donated by the Medfield Neighborhood Brigade; five cases of water donated by the First Baptist Church; sugar pumpkins donated by Lovells Flowers and Nursery; and turkey donated by Armand P. Kids' Closet Donations to be Accepted Next Week

Children's clothing and shoe collection from Sept. 11 to Sept. 18 at the Kingsbury Club in support of the Kids' Closet.

  Kids' Closet donations of any fall and winter children's clothing your kids may have outgrown or are no longer wearing will be accepted at the Kingsbury Club from Sept 11-18. All clothing, size 4-18, both boys and girls items, must be washed and in wearable condition; no rips, no stains, missing buttons, or broken zippers. Fall and winter clothing please. Shoes must also be in wearable condition; no sneakers unless lightly worn.  Please note this collection is kid's clothing and shoes ONLY.  No adult clothing, and no personal items such as underwear and socks can be accepted. Bagged clothing can be dropped off at the Kingsbury Club from Tuesday, Sept. 11 to Tuesday, Sept. 18 in a marked container located in the hallway near the front …

Medfield's Kingsbury Club Rockstars

Medfield group participated in the Ruckus Race, held June 4th in Marshfield.

The Kingsbury Club Rockstars is a  large team from the Kingsbury Club in Medfield that have been training for the Ruckus Race, which took place on Saturday, June 4th at the Marshfield Fairgrounds in Marshfield. The Ruckus Race offers thrill-seeking adults an exhilarating four-mile long obstacle course featuring more than 20 obstacles, attracting over 3,000 attendees.

Medfield's Kingsbury Club Bolster’s Fitness Team with Addition of Brian Szewczynski

Premier fitness club announces new personal trainer.

Kingsbury Club Medfield, a multi-purpose health club in town, has announced Brian Szewczynskias its newest addition to the personal training team.   In addition to one-on-one sessions, Szewczynskias will teach a handful of cardio classes including kick boxing, boot camp and high intensity training.  With over 15 years of fitness experience, Szewczynskias comes from a background in biology and lives by his motto: "A closed door can be re-opened with the right tools of motivation.”  Julie Day, fitness director of Kingsbury Club Medfield is thrilled to add Szewczynskias to the staff.   “[Szewczynskias'] refined knowledge of the field comes from years of research and experience as a head trainer and is what makes Brian such a well-rounded …
