Friday’s boys’ lacrosse game between Medfield and Dover-Sherborn is a battle of TVL unbeatens. Face-off is 6:30 p.m. at Dover-Sherborn Regional High School.
Medfield and Dover-Sherborn renew their rivalry on the lacrosse field Friday evening in Dover as the boys’ lacrosse programs play for sole possession of first place in the Tri-Valley League. Both teams enter Friday’s game with perfect TVL records and are the only two teams to win the TVL in the league's 10-year history. D-S is currently 6-0 in the league and 9-2 overall while Medfield is 5-0 in the league and 7-1 overall. Adding to the excitement of Friday's TVL showdown is this will be the first time these teams take the field against one another since Dover-Sherborn’s surprising 7-5 victory over the Warriors on May 19, 2011. That win snapped Medfield’s run of nine straight TVL titles as the Raiders became the only team other than the …

The Medfield High School boys' lacrosse team beat Algonquin, 13-9, Friday night to win its second straight MIAA D2 State Championship and fifth in program history.
WORCESTER – Medfield High School head coach Bob Aronson said if Friday’s MIAA Division 2 Boys’ Lacrosse State Final against Algonquin was close heading into the fourth quarter, he liked his team’s chances of winning a second straight state title. “What we felt all along was we had a tough road to get here but I think [Algonquin] had a tougher road,” Aronson said. “With three overtime games coming here, we knew that we were all healthy and relatively fresh but if it was close it would come down to the fourth quarter and we would outlast them and that’s pretty much what happened.” Right on point, Aronson’s Warriors led 9-8 after three quarters and dominated Algonquin over the final 12 minutes, outscoring the Tomahawks, 4-1 in the fourth to …
