Medfield Hockey Gives Up Four-Goal Lead In Third Period To Tie Dover-Sherborn

Warriors likely miss out on chance for TVL title after third period collapse.

NATICK – Dover-Sherborn’s Cole Tibbetts scored the game-tying goal with 3.1 seconds left in the third period, leaving the Medfield High boys' hockey team disappointed. The Warriors gave one away Wednesday night, surrendering a four-goal lead in the third period to tie rival Dover-Sherborn, 6-6. Medfield had some costly penalties in throughout the game that ultimately cost the team the win, especially on the final goal of the game when the Warriors had three players in the penalty box, putting the Raiders at a 6-3 man advantage after pulling their goalie in the final minute. “You’ve got to be smarter, especially our very last penalty, it was unacceptable,” said Medfield head coach Toby Carlow. “Those things cost you games and tonight it …

Medfield Hockey Teams Take Ice After Week Off

Boys' face-off against Hopkinton at 7 p.m.; Girls' host Westwood at 8 p.m.

It has been quite awhile since the Medfield High School boys' and girls' hockey teams took the ice for a game. Like many teams in the area, a key to watch for in tonight's action is how sharp or rusty the Warriors look coming off the long layoffs.  Boys' Hockey: Medfield (9-3-2, 7-1-1) at Hopkinton (2-10-1, 1-8)   Navin Skating Arena, Marlborough, 7 p.m. The Warriors are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and in the last time they took the ice, they clinched a playoff berth with a 6-0 win over Bellingham. That was eight days ago and Medfield will look to recapture its momentum as the team laces up against a struggling Hopkinton team tonight in Marlborough.  The Hillers have only won twice in 13 games and are 1-8 in the Tri-Valley League this …

Warriors' boys' and girls' basketball teams take on Medway; hockey hosts Bellingham.

It is a big night in high school basketball for the Medfield boys' and girls' squads as both face fierce competition in the form of Medway. Medfield High Boys' Hockey, Track Teams Expected to Play Despite Weather

Wednesday's girls' basketball and girls' hockey games postponed.

Wednesday's winter weather has claimed two of the four Medfield High athletic events scheduled as the Warriors' JV and varsity girls' basketball games vs. Fontbonne and the girls' varsity hockey game vs. Medway/Ashland have been postponed. No make-up date has been announced for those events.  Warriors' fans still have plenty to cheer about Wednesday, however, as the boys' hockey team hosts Tri-Valley League foe Holliston and the boys' and girls' track teams battle Hopkinton for first-place in the TVL.  Boys' Hockey: Holliston (4-4-2) at Medfield (7-3-2, 5-1-1)  Veteran's Arena, Franklin, 5 p.m. The Warriors are coming off a difficult, 3-2 loss to Tri-Valley League leader Westwood Saturday after missing several opportunities in that game …
