MHS Boys Basketball will take on the MHS Faculty All-Stars tonight in a game to honor Team Statistician William Johnson and to raise money for SMA research.

The Big Blue Boy's Basketball program celebrated its annual end of season banquet on Sunday, March 10. Congratulations to our freshman team for going 20-0 and our J.V. team going 16-4. The varsity team also had a successful season finishing 13-8. The Medfield Big Blue traveled to Dorchester High School on Thursday night and lost their first round tournament game 69-52. John Zimmerman lead the team with 20 points. The team finishes the year with an overall record of 13 wins and 8 losses. This closes out the Big Blue careers for John Zimmerman, Matt Pembroke, Remy Fragola, John Pendergast, Henry Stromland, and Eddie Warren. MHS Boys Basketball Team captures a 58-55 win at Bellingham.

On Tuesday, Medfield High School's Big Blue Basketball team made an historic comeback in a game against Bellingham. Down by 26 points in the first half, the Medfield Boys Big Blue stormed back and captured a 58-55 win at Bellingham. It certainly was a tale of two halves. Bellingham shot the lights out in the first half, hitting eight three-point shots. Down 38-13 at the half, the Big Blue came out and outscored Bellingham 31-4 in the third quarter to capture the lead. The Medfield High School's Boys' Varsity Big Blue Basketball team had two huge wins last week. Tuesday -- Medfield vs. Norton On Tuesday, the team defeated Norton by a score of 60-59. Highlights included: Friday -- Medfield vs. Hopkinton On Friday, the team took on first-place Hopkinton and earned a hard fought win with a final score of 61-48. Last week, the Medfield High School's Boys "Big Blue" Basketball team's seven game winning streak came to an end in Ashland. The team lost a hard fought game 55-47. Drew Shea lead the team with 16 points and John Zimmerman chipped in with 13. Friday night, the team got back on the winning track with a come-from-behind 60-48 win over a pesky Millis team. The Medfield Big Blue Boy's basketball team had two more big wins last week. On Tuesday, the team had an exciting come-from-behind win vs. Westwood. Down by 17 points at half-time, the Big Blue came out in the second half a totally different team and held Westwood to just 12 second half points. Drew Shea led the team with 18 points, John Zimmerman had 16. On Friday, the team overcame a sluggish first half once again and beat Bellingham 65-32. Highlights included: On Friday, the team escaped with a 60-54 win over a much-improved Holliston team. After a 0-2 start the Medfield Big Blue Boy's Basketball team has won their last three games! Over the holiday break, the team traveled to non-league Weston where it escaped with a 58-53 win. Drew Shea scored a season high 31 points, and John Zimmerman chipped in with 10. On Dec. 29th, the team beat a pesky Millis squad 76-61. Remy Fragola scored a career high 26 points in the win, John Zimmerman also had a career high 23 points, and Matt Pembroke had a strong effort with 9 points and 5 assists.
