Town Meeting Passes Town Garage, Lord's Sign, and More

Town Meeting was held on Monday night from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Editor's Note: Because the town garage passed at Monday's meeting, a special local election will be held today -- Tuesday, April 30, at The Center at Medfield from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. -- in conjunction with the special state primary election. This year's Town Meeting started at 7:30 p.m. on Monday night and was preceded with entertainment by the award-winning MHS Jazz Band.  Former Selectman Ann Thompson received a standing ovation for her 40 years of volunteer service to the town, retiring Medfield Superintendent of Schools led the Pledge of Allegiance, and MHS senior Bethany Komine sang the National Anthem.  Selectman Richard DeSorgher read a Resolution that will be sent to the City of Boston to show that Medfield stands in unity with the …

Police Log: Warrant for 17-year Old, Bobcats, Eggs, Rogue Dirtbike, Hurricane

Here's a look at the police log for Oct. 26 through Oct. 29.

Friday, Oct. 26 4:30 p.m., Elm Street. Caller reports a blue and white dirt bike riding on fields behind Wheelock School. Someone also saw the vehicle drive down the tracks toward Walpole. 4:56 p.m., Elm Street. Caller reports dirt bike is back on fields and came from Haven Road. Police spoke with party who denied involvement. 7:56 p.m., South Street. Caller reported his car was egged while driving down South Street. Off-duty firefighter noticed which yard responsible parties ran into.  Saturday, Oct. 27 9:43 a.m., Elm Street. Thursday, Oct. 25 3:42 p.m., North Street. Police helped a resident with fingerprints for employment. 4:54 p.m., Farm Street. Medfield Fire responded to Dover-Sherborn High School to help with a nine-year-old with possible broken ribs and trouble breathing. Patient was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital. 5:34 p.m., Frairy Street. Walk-in complaint about someone trespassing. 5:55 p.m., Adams Street. Caller reported a suspicious black car with a man inside by the Memorial School. Gone on arrival. 7:15 p.m., North Meadows Road and Dale Street. Police helped a disabled motorist on Route 27 near Dale Street. 7:48 p.m., Pleasant Street. Daniel J.
