Today at noon is the deadline to vote for the best decked house in the country.
Who has the best “decked” house in the area? According to users who voted in our annual Deck the House contest, this home in Danvers has the best holiday lights in Massachusetts. Other nearby finalists include homes in Coventry and East Greenwich, Rhode Island. But which is the best in the country? We've chosen 25 finalists from all our entries across the country. Until Dec. 28, vote for your favorite and that person could win $100,000 for his or her local school district. All you have to do is click this link to browse a gallery of the finalists and cast your vote. On Dec. 29, we’ll announce the grand prize winner of our Deck the House contest. Richard DeSorgher announces his run for the Board of Selectmen.
Dear Medfield Citizen, I write announcing my candidacy for Selectman and seek your vote in the upcoming March Town Elections. As a life-long resident of Medfield, I have been given much by the town and its citizens. As a strong believer in the view that “when much is given, much will be asked,” I feel an obligation to give back to my hometown and I now have the time, energy and ability to do so. Medfield provided me a safe environment in which to grow up and, because of countless volunteers, allowed me to participate in town sports and activities. I was given an excellent education in the Medfield Public Schools and graduation from Medfield High School enabled me to go on to college and receive both undergraduate and master’s degrees from…

Joe Kennedy will be at Noon Hill Grille tonight at 6 p.m.
Joe Kennedy III, candidate for Congress, will be at Noon Hill Grille tonight at 6 p.m. Kennedy, a Brookline Democrat, is running against Sean Bielat, a Norfolk Republican, to replace the retiring Fourth District Congressman Barney Frank, of Newton. The Fourth District includes Medfield. Election 2012 polls will be open in Medfield on Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at The Center at Medfield, 1 Icehouse Road.
