Medfield Swim & Dive Team Takes Second in TVL Championship Meet

On Sunday, the Medfield High School Swimming and Diving team finished in second place at the TVL Championship meet! The team scores were Hopkinton 1091.5, Medfield 910, Dover-Sherborn 828.5, Ashland 585, Norton 511, and Holliston 351.

On Sunday, the Medfield High School Swimming and Diving team finished in second place at the TVL Championship meet!  The team scores were Hopkinton 1091.5, Medfield 910, Dover-Sherborn 828.5, Ashland 585, Norton 511, and Holliston 351. The team of Freshman Olivia Tom, Sophomore Haley Dolan, Senior Jenn Alban, and Senior Katie Nickerson started off the meet with a second place finish in the 200 Medley relay.  The team had a season best time of 2:02.93! Junior Alec Haley finished in second place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:53.34. Medfield won both the boys and …

Travelers to Expect More Personnel, but No Direct Threat at Logan Airport

Security levels at Boston's airport have not changed since the news of Osama bin Laden's death. Federal officials have not called for increased measures.

After a security meeting this morning, officials at the Boston's Logan Airport have not raised the threat level at the facility, but there are additional State Police and TSA personnel on as a precaution. “We met with all the airlines and said to be aware,” said Phil Orlandella, the spokesman for Massport. “There is no threat to Logan.” Officials met earlier this morning to discuss whether to take additional security measures in the wake of Osama bin Laden’s death.  Orlandella said the federal government has not issued any order for additional security or said the airport is under any threat. Orlandella stressed that while there was no threat, all travelers should remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings. Anyone who sees something …
