Kindergarten registration for the 2013-2014 school year at the Memorial School is going on now. All eligible students must be five years old on or by August 31, 2013. Please visit www.medfield.net and click on the link to bring you to the Kindergarten Registration Page. All necessary documents for registration are available on-line. If you have difficulty obtaining any of these forms, please contact the Memorial School Office at 508-359-5135. Kindergarten Parent Information Night, a parent-only event, will be held on Jan. 24 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Memorial School Cafeteria.

With less than six weeks until Discover Medfield Day, registrations are nearing the limit. The annual fall fair sponsored by the Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization Inc, MEMO, will be held on Sept. 17 and more than 100 local businesses, professionals, churches, schools and organizations have reserved exhibit booths. The entertainment schedule is nearly complete with a special event included. Middlesex Bank is soliciting treasures for the silent auction to benefit the scholarship fund and the rides and inflatable activities have been ordered as Palumbo Insurance seeks donors to help defray the costs of each item. Registration for Mefield youth summer baseball and softball is now open. Summer baseball is for ages 12 and under, while summer softball is for u-10, u-12, u-14 and u-17 leagues. Classes and programs begin Jan. 3.
With sugar plumbs no longer dancing in children's heads and people saying goodbye to 2010, the Medfield Parks and Recreation Department is looking forward to 2011 and the start of the winter session of programming. Classes will start again the week of Jan. 3, with some new programs being added to the usual stable of classes. This session, Parks & Rec went green and did not print and bulk mail the brochure with all the classes. Instead, the brochure can be found online, click heredownload the brochure onto your computer as a PDF document. By doing this, it allows the staff to continually update classes, either by date changes or adding classes to the existing schedule.
