As part of Memorial School's Read Across America program, Children's Author, Grace Lin visited Memorial School this week.
Students at Memorial School welcomed children's author, Grace Lin, to their school on Monday and Tuesday and enjoyed her visit as part of the school's participation in Read Across America's program. Lin met in small groups with all first grade students on Monday, and all Kindergarten students on Tuesday. She explained the steps of having a book published and read "The Ugly Vegetables" to them. National program celebrated in Medfield last week as students from Memorial School participated in several literacy events.
The pre-schoolers, kindergarteners and first grade students at Memorial School celebrated reading last week with an assembly, community readers, and a visit from the Cat in the Hat as part of the national Read Across America literacy program.
