Wednesday, Oct. 10 5:31 p.m., Adams Street. Caller said she is trying to reach her 10-year-old son who is home alone and not picking up the phone. Police reached him by phone and he will call his mother. Police also stopped by to confirm, and father came home at that time. 6:03 p.m., Pleasant Street. Ambulance responded to a smoke detector going off. 8:07 p.m., Oak Street. Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct after a woman reported a problem with an ex-boyfriend. Caller reported the train that goes through town during the night should not be blowing its horn for so long, it is longer than normal. 10:34 a.m., Kenney Road.
