Park Street Books & Toys Now Open on Main Street

New England's largest children's bookstore has moved from Park Street to Main Street.

  Park Street Books & Toys has relocated its new store to 504 Main Street.  The first thing you notice when you walk into New England's largest children's bookstore, is the massive mural that starts at the door and winds upstairs to the second floor. The colorful and winding mural was created by Montana Gulbrand, a junior at Walpole High School who works at the store, and the customers are talking about it, says owner Jim James. "It's amazing and people really love it," said James who estimates it took Montana about 70 hours to complete the work. She and her friend Keiko are now creating another mural on the outside of the building, and will also do more painting inside.  "It's a work in progress," James said of his new space. On a recent …

When Will Park Street Books Move to Its New Location?

Soon, very soon!

  Park Street Books & Toys will soon be moving to its new location at 504 Main Street in Medfield. Owner Jim James said he is waiting for the occupancy permit which he hopes to receive in time to open in April.  "If we receive the permit in time, we will be in our current location through Spring Break [April 13-21], then we will close for six days [April 14-19] and then open in our new location," James said.  In addition to its extensive offerings of books and toys -- it is the largest children's bookstore in New England -- the store is now the headquarters for Medfield spirit wear and will host the community SCRIP box after the move.  In May, Park Street Books & Toys will have a grand opening celebration some "with lots of fun and author …

Park Street Books and Toys Prepares to Move to Main Street

Park Street Books and Toys is preparing its office space and offerings list as the store gets ready to move from Park Street to Main Street.

UPDATE: Park Street Books and Toys has put up their new sign outside 504 Main Street. Store owner says they are still on target to move at the end of March or the beginning of April from their current 26 Park Street location.
