Winslow, 54 (R-Norfolk), first ran for State Representative of the 9th Norfolk District, it was a completely different campaign: He rode his bicycle door-to-door to meet as many voters as possible to win their vote. But this campaign is different as he drives all over the Commonwealth in hopes of winning the Republican nomination in the primary election on April 30 to fill the Senate seat recently vacated by now Secretary of State John Kerry.  "This race is different. State Rep. Dan Winslow officially in race for the Senate seat vacated by John Kerry.

UPDATE: Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. -- State Rep. Dan Winslow tells Fox25 Boston he is officially in the race for the Senate seat vacated by John Kerry last week. Winslow, who represents the Ninth Norfolk District which includes Medfield, is the first Republican to join the race.  "I'm in this to win this; I'm going to give this race everything I have with everything I've got," he said, noting he will use $100,000 of his own money and raise the needed $4 to $6 million to win the race.  "This is a big reach for us, a heavy lift, but we have to do it and we have to do it fast."  Winslow said he has resigned his job as an attorney and is in the race 110 percent.
