I spent 5 years flying AEWC for the AF off the west coast and up into the Gulf of Alaska. Every year, our squadron was tasked with tracking Santa on radar and reporting to NORAD the bogie's position, altitude and speed. One year we even launched CAF fighters to escort that precious flight into US airspace. We always made sure he arrived safe and unharmed. more ›
