You Ask, Patch Answers: Did They All Die in Vietnam?

While preparing for the dedication of a plaque in honor of Medfield soldiers who served during the Vietnam War, the Memorial Veterans' Plaque Committee created a lengthy list of names to be included on the plaque and then asked for the public's help to make sure the names were correct (and no one was missing or on the list incorrectly). After posting that list, a Patch reader asked, "Please tell me that all these names are people who died in Vietnam." So we posed the question to committee member Richard DeSorgher who said the names belong to students who attended the Amos Clark Kingsbury High School and who also served in the military in the years between 1961 and 1975 (the dates the American Legion lists for the Vietnam period).
