  Here's a glance at the Medfield police log for April 9. Tuesday, April 9 1:30 a.m., Main Street. E911 caller reported a car accident in front of her house. A Franklin man hit a tree and his car (2004 Saturn) was towed.  5:49 a.m., North Street. Walk-in report of a strange white van parked in the Montrose School by the buses. Police found a regular pupil van there but nothing else.  8:06 a.m., Oak and Pleasant Streets. Caller reported a possible sick raccoon in the area. Animal Control was notified. 11:04 a.m., North Meadows Road. Medfield EMTs said they were on their way to someone's house who was complaining of stomach pains. Patient was taken to Norwood Hospital. 11:48 a.m., Miller Street. Funeral home requested an escort to Vine Lake …

Marijuana at Metacomet Park

Two were issued bylaw citations for possession of marijuana.

  According to police records, on Thursday, April 4,  at 10 p.m., Medfield Police Officer Wayne Sallale was patrolling the south sector when he noticed a vehicle parked and running in the dark in an unlit parking lot of Metacomet Park. This area has had past drug-related issues including sales and use. He approached the vehicle and saw two people -- a boy and a girl-- in the front seat. Editor's Note: In this article, the couple are identified as Boy 1 and Girl 1 as they are not identified by name in the police report.  As he approached the driver's window to conduct a well-being check, "the operator opened the window and this police officer was able to observe visible smoke in the motor vehicle. Hmmm., a cat stuck in a spare tire. With my apologies in advance, that raises several thoughts -- 1. Must have been an awfully small cat to fit through the valve stem. 2. Caller reported an erratic driver in a pickup truck who just hit a pole or road marker. Police pulled over the car (1991 GMC Sonoma) from Medway.
