The game starts today at 2 p.m. at UMass Boston.

The Medfield High School Girls Basketball team will head to the sectional championship today to play Duxbury at 2 p.m. at the University of Massachusetts in Boston.  Of today's big game, Medfield Coach Mark Nickerson said,  Duxbury is a very talented team.  They have very talented post players and outstanding perimeter shooters.  Any time you play a team that can score both inside and outside, it can be extremely challenging to defend; however, our girls are working hard.  They are focused on competing and playing at our highest level.  We are excited for the opportunity to play Duxbury and hope to rise to the occasion.

Warriors beat Wellesley, 7-5 in the MIAA Division 2 East Sectional State Tournament Tuesday. Will play Foxboro in Friday's semi-final.

Another year of the same for the Medfield and Wellesley boys' lacrosse teams in the state tournament as the Warriors eliminated the Raiders Tuesday, 7-5 in the MIAA Division 2 East Sectional State Tournament quarterfinals.   In 2006, the Wellesley High School boys' lacrosse team defeated Medfield in the East Division 2 tournament and went on to capture the state title. Since then, Medfield has ended Wellesley's tourney run every year and that tradition continued Tuesday. It took a fourth-quarter rally, but Medfield found a way to prevail over the bracket's top seed and keep its streak against the Raiders intact.  “I would like to say it was my unbelievable coaching, but I think it was just their motivation,” Medfield head coach Bob Aronson…
