Letter to the Editor

Letter to the Editor: Thank You for Supporting American Cancer Society

Medfield selectman Ann Thompson wrote in to say "thank you" to those who supported the American Cancer Society.

Dear Editor, Many thanks are due to the many folks whoe made a donation to the American Cancer Society on Medifled Day and received a free scarf in exchange! Several knitters were there at the booth to help explain our dual purpose of rasing funds and increasing awareness of breast cancer and our results were even better than our hopes. Approximately 190 scarves, many of them pink, left the booth area wrapped around the donors' necks. Over $1,200 in cash and several hundreds of dollars in checks made out to the American Cancer Society were mailed off Monday morning! Thanks to all who knit, sold, modeled and helped in every way! Sincerely, Ann Thompson Medfield
