Here is where you can buy your Powerball tickets.
The Powerball jackpot will hit $350 million for Wednesday’s drawing. Though not the largest Powerball cash payout, the jackpot is inching closer to the $384 million that was given out in November 2012 in Arizona and Missouri. Regardless, $350 million is a pretty good take, no? Here are lottery agents in Medfield where you can buy Powerball tickets for Wednesday's drawing: For a complete list of lottery agents, go to the Massachusetts State Lottery site. A trial on the charges ended in a hung jury last year.
Former State Treasurer, Norfolk County Treasurer, and gubernatorial candidate Tim Cahill has agreed to pay a $100,000 fine, which will end the Commonwealth’s corruption case against the Quincy resident. Cahill will pay $25,000 a year out of his personal funds. CBS Boston reported that Cahill will not be able to run for office until he pays the fine. Attorney General Martha Coakley charged the former state treasurer with spending $1.5 million on lottery ads during his gubernatorial campaign in 2010. A trial on the charges ended in a hung jury last year. By paying the fine, he will not be retried.

As no one has won Powerball for 16 consecutive tries, the estimated jackpot for today's drawing is $500 million. Tell us in the comments what you would do if you won.
For the last two months, no one has been lucky to win the Powerball lottery. So today's estimated jackpot is $500 million, and likely to go even higher as a buying frenzy continues. At $500 million, it would be the largest jackpot in Powerball history. Powerball is pulled Wednesdays and Fridays. The Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, including Massachusetts and all six New England states. According to Powerball, the odds of winning the jackpot is 1 in 175 million. The odds of getting all 5 numbers and not the Powerball, earning $1 million, is 1 in 5 million.
