MHS Boys Hockey Clinches TVL Championship [PHOTOS]

Medfield won over Dover-Sherborn 5-0

  The Medfield High School Boys Varsity Hockey Team has clinched the Tri-Valley League Championship title. The final score of Wednesday's game against Dover-Sherborn was 5-0, according to MassHSHockey.com.   Tyler Etzkorn (#22-captain) scored two of the goals to clinch the TVL championship, according to one spectator.  Were you at the game? Medfield Hockey Wins 5-2 Over Rival Medway

Medfield Boys Hockey won its game over Medway on Wednesday.

  On Wednesday, the Medfield High School Boys' Hockey team did what they had to do to stay in the running for the Tri-Valley League title. The Boston Herald reports that Medfield received clutch performances from Matt Treiber, who scored two goals and had an assist for the Warriors (16-1-0), and John MacLean had a goal and an assist. Hockey Team to Hold Food Drive

MHS team collecting food to benefit Medfield Food Cupboard. Arrangements can be made for pick-up or drop-off, if you can't attend the drive.

  The Medfield Boys Varsity Hockey Team will be hosting a food drive to benefit the Medfield Food Cupboard on Sunday, Feb. 17 from noon to 4 p.m. at Roche Bros in Millis.  Not available that day? Weekend Weather Perfect for Winter Sports

Skiing was great at Wachusett on Saturday. Took a long walk in the wetlands along the Stop River down by the Medfield/Norfolk/Walpole line. It's all froze up so you can walk anywhere (except the river itself).   more ›

Medfield Boys Varsity Hockey Beats Westwood 4-1

Medfield Hockey's winning streak continued on Tuesday with another win.

Click here to find out how.  The Medfield High School Boys Varsity Hockey team beat Westwood 4-1 on Tuesday night to win their third game of the season. They have no losses to date. Johnny Monahan stopped 30 shots to bring his season total thus far to 80 shots and 79 saves! The next game is Saturday, Dec. 22 against Holliston at 6:30 pm at the Franklin rink.

Medfield Boys Hockey Starts Season With 6-0 Win

The MHS Boys Hockey Team beat Bedford in its first game of the season on Saturday.

VIDEO: Medfield Nets 3-1 Win Against Rival Westwood

The Medfield High School boys' hockey team improves to 7-0-1 in the Tri-Valley League with Wednesday's victory over the Wolverines.

FRANKLIN – The Medfield High School boys' hockey team knocked off Tri-Valley League rival Westwood Wednesday, 3-1, to sweep the season series with the Wolverines. Wednesday's win against the defending TVL champs keeps the Warriors atop the league standings with a 7-0-1 record. Medfield defeated Westwood, 3-1 in Canton on Dec. 17. Medfield got on the board 28 seconds into the game Wednesday after Tyler Etzkorn followed his shot on Westwood goaltender William Kenney and tipped in the rebound for the 1-0 advantage. That lead held up through a scoreless second period that saw Westwood gain momentum from a strong penalty kill and a lackluster Medfield power play. Medfield Varsity Girls' Hockey Players Share Love of the Game

Members of the Medfield High girls' hockey team devote their Saturday mornings to help teach young children to skate and play hockey.

They slip, they slide and sometimes collide with one another. Occasionally, they even call a self-imposed “time-out” and make a hasty retreat. There are tears of frustration and more than a little envy when they witness the more experienced children actually playing the game. Welcome to the world of the Learn to Play Hockey newbies: future Medfield hockey stars in the making. The program, which accommodates children aged four years old and up, is sponsored by Medfield Youth Hockey and is designed to teach ice skating skills and hockey fundamentals to the town's younger residents. A vital part of the program is the volunteer participation of the Medfield girls' hockey team, who send members of the team to Norfolk Arena, each Saturday …
