Starbucks Public Hearing Opens

After one hour, the hearing was continued to April 1 at 8:45 p.m.

  Starbucks is one step closer to opening its doors this fall. On Monday night, the Planning Board heard from representatives of the "Medfield 467 Main LLC," which is owned by Salvatore Capital Partners LLC (which also recent purchased the Lord's building), who are seeking Site Plan Approval from the Planning Board.  Salvatore hopes to renovate the former Mobil gas station, at the corner of Main and North Streets, into a Starbucks coffee shop by September.  Monday was the first public hearing at which the board discussed the matter for more than an hour, then continued the hearing to April 1 at 8:45 p.m.  Information discussed with the engineer, Richard Merrikin, included: The Board also meet with traffic engineer Gary McNaughton regarding…

Starbucks to Open by September

Developer Salvatore Capital Partners purchased the former Mobil site on Thursday.

  Town officials say plans are now in full swing to open a Starbucks in downtown Medfield by the fall. "I believe they closed as of this morning," said Assistant Town Administrator Kristine Trierweiler at Thursday's meeting of the Downtown Study Committee. "They're still on target with Starbucks," said committee Chairman Brandie Morris. "They have a 10 to 12 week construction schedule...Their goal is to be opened by September." Morris said she and Police Chief Robert Meaney Jr. met with the developer Greg Salvatore earlier on Thursday to discuss the project. Starbucks Reps Meet with Medfield's Historical Commission and Historic District Commission

Starbucks developers held an informal discussion with the Historical District Commission and Historical Commission to learn more about converting the current Mobil gas station at the corner of North and Main Streets into a coffeehouse.

Greg Salvatore and Michael Yanoff of Salvatore Capital Partners LLC met with members of the Historical District Commission and Historical Commission to hear preliminary concerns about converting the current Mobil gas station at the corner of North and Main Streets into a Starbucks Coffeehouse.  "We’re really in the early stages of development," said Salvatore at the start of the 25-minute discussion. “We have the property under agreement with the owners, Global Petroleum, and we have a tenant who is interested in being part of the community.
