Local Youth to be Sworn into Governor's Statewide Youth Council
Blake Tyler Brown of Medfield will be sworn onto the Council at the State House.
Today, Governor Deval Patrick will swear in Medfield's Blake Tyler Brown to sit on his statewide Youth Council. The ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on the Grand Staircase of the State House. The Youth Council was established by Governor Patrick by an executive order in April 2008, and encourages young people to become civically engaged in their local communities. Youth Council members represent all of the Commonwealth's 14 counties. Members were selected by an application review committee for their excellence in leadership and their outstanding potential to create change in their communities and range from ages 14-20.
