Gas Prices Down 21 Cents From Last Month

The lowest gas in Medfield today is $3.46 compared to $3.67 this time last month.

Gas prices in Medfield continue their upward march, with prices reaching the highest point ever in February and up more than a quarter in the past month. AAA Southern New England said its survey of prices in Massachusetts on Monday found self-serve, regular unleaded gas averaging $3.72 per gallon, four cents higher than a week ago and up 31 cents over the past month. Today, the average price of a gallon of regular gas in Medfield is $3.69, slightly lower than the Massachusetts average. The least expensive gallon of gas in Medfield today is being sold at Cumberland Farms at $3.67 a gallon, followed by both Irving and Sunoco at $3.69 a gallon, and Gulf at $3.73 a gallon. AAA: Gas Prices Down This Week, This Month, But Higher Than A Year Ago

AAA says local gas prices are down 18 cents over the past month.

  Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down three cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England, which has an office in Framingham, off Route 9. AAA’s Nov. 19 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.58 per gallon, three cents less than last week. Prices locally are down 18 cents over the past month. The current price is 17 cents above the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.41. A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $3.33.
