Medfield Food Cupboard Provides Thanksgiving Dinner for 36 Families

The Medfield Food Cupboard held its annual Thanksgiving distribution this past week.

With the help of the Medfield Food Cupboard, 36 families will have a full table this Thanksgiving. The food cupboard depends on the generosity of individuals and groups in Medfield and neighboring communities in order to feed the families that depend on its service.    Local families were able to fill their bags with those items as well as donations of fresh potatoes, onions, carrots and garlic donated by the Wheelock School Victory Garden; homemade breads donated by the Medfield Neighborhood Brigade; five cases of water donated by the First Baptist Church; sugar pumpkins donated by Lovells Flowers and Nursery; and turkey donated by Armand P. Former Baptist Deacon, Bobby Gene Estep, Dies at 77

Bobby Gene Estep died on Sept. 30 at home in Clayton, NC. He served as a deacon at Medfield's First Baptist Church for 20 years.

This obituary was taken from www.legacy.com Bobby Gene Estep, 77, passed away at his home in Clayton, North Carolina, on Sept. 30 after a lengthy illness. Bob was born Nov. 11, 1934 in Ashland, Kentucky, son of the late Edgel and Pansy Estep. He met his bride, Janet Dunkin of Columbus, Ohio, at Westinghouse Electric Corp. where they both worked. They were married on Nov. 23, 1957. Many years after transferring to Westinghouse in Boston, he retired as financial executive. They moved to Clayton, NC, in 1996. Active in church life, he served the Lord for 20 years as a Deacon at First Baptist Church, Medfield, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Clayton, NC.
