The Medfield High School's Boys' Varsity Big Blue Basketball team had two huge wins last week. Tuesday -- Medfield vs. Norton On Tuesday, the team defeated Norton by a score of 60-59. Highlights included: Friday -- Medfield vs. Hopkinton On Friday, the team took on first-place Hopkinton and earned a hard fought win with a final score of 61-48. Medfield had a thrilling win against Dover-Sherborn on Dec. 21.

The boy's varsity basketball team had a thrilling win on Friday night (Dec. 21) over Dover-Sherborn with a final score of Medfield 68 - D.S. 66. Down by six points midway through the fourth quarter, the team came back and showed a resilient effort versus a quality Dover-Sherborn team. Drew Shea lead the Big Blue with 24 points, John Zimmerman had 20 points and 14 rebounds. Remy Fragola chipped in with 11 points. John Pendergast, Matt Pembroke and Matt Cahill had strong defensive games.
The Medfield-Ashland-Dover-Sherborn Gymnastics Team competed against Shrewsbury High School.

Remy Fragola led the team with 18 points, Drew Shea shipped in with 10. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Hopkinton On Tuesday, the Big Blue traveled to undefeated Hopkinton and lossed 69-49. The Medfield High School Swimming and Diving team topped Dover-Sherborn on Wednesday.

On Wednesday night, the Medfield High School Swimming and Diving team swam Dover-Sherborn. The Medfield team had a great night of swimming and diving! The team won with a score of 93-91. Medfield won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:53.35. The team was made up of freshman Olivia Tom, Junior Alec Haley, Freshman Colton Hall, and Senior Peter Woodsum. Senior Connor Haley won the 200 and 500 freestyle events. He finished the 200 in 1:54.72 and the 500 in 5:14.25. Junior Alec Haley won the 200 individual medley and the 100 freestyle. Freshman's effort on the mound and at the plate sparks 13-2 victory Wednesday.
Medfield softball coach Travis Taliaferro said freshman Jackie Flint had a "monter game" in the Warriors' 13-2 victory over rival Dover-Sherborn Wednesday. He wasn't exageratting. Flint went 4-for-4 with two RBI at the plate and picked up her first career victory on the mound, limiting D-S hitters to just two runs while striking out seven. "I was really proud of Jackie's performance because D-S put runners on in every inning, and played aggressively until the end," Taliaferro. The Medfield High School boys' basketball team swept rival Dover-Sherborn in the season series after Friday's 66-46 victory.
The Medfield High School boys' basketball team carried over momentum from Tuesday's 59-44 victory over Hopkinton into Friday's game with rival Dover-Sherborn – beating the Raiders, 66-46 to improve to 9-5 this season and 8-4 in the Tri-Valley League. Medfield led 38-21 at halftime, holding D-S to only 11 points in the first quarter and 10 points in the second, while the Warriors raced out to a 20-point first quarter. D-S rallied in the second half, hitting its first four shots, all three-pointers. Medfield's Jen Narlee netted a game-high 16 points Tuesday as the Warriors earn their fourth straight win to start the season.
The Medfield High School girls' basketball team scored over 60 points for the third time in four games Tuesday, but it was the Warriors' defense that keyed a 69-22 victory over rival Dover-Sherborn. "We played outstanding team defense and Jen [Narlee] is really the center piece of that," said Medfield head coach Mark Nickerson. "This was a good win for us and a good building block as we move forward." Medfield won its fourth straight game (third in the Tri-Valley League) to open the season unbeaten.
