Medfield Public Schools will have a two-hour delayed start on Monday, Feb. 11, according to the district website. There will be no morning Kindergarten or preschool classes.

Was your wait in traffic at the lights on Route 27 and South Street longer than usual during your Thursday morning commute? The Medfield Police Department is addressing the problem. Medfield Chief of Police Robert E. Meaney Jr. said water appears to be affecting the wire that reads the demand of traffic. "The traffic lights at that intersection function on demand based on cars tripping a wire that is buried in the pavement," Meaney said. "As a result of the ice, snow and cracks, water appears to be affecting the wire." Meaney said as a temporary fix to the problem, the lights were put on a fixed cycle Wednesday morning to give equal time on Route 27 and South Street.
