Voting Ends at Noon for Best “Decked” House in the Country

Today at noon is the deadline to vote for the best decked house in the country.

Who has the best “decked” house in the area? According to users who voted in our annual Deck the House contest, this home in Danvers has the best holiday lights in Massachusetts. Other nearby finalists include homes in Coventry and East Greenwich, Rhode Island. But which is the best in the country? We've chosen 25 finalists from all our entries across the country. Until Dec. 28, vote for your favorite and that person could win $100,000 for his or her local school district. All you have to do is click this link to browse a gallery of the finalists and cast your vote. On Dec. 29, we’ll announce the grand prize winner of our Deck the House contest. It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

The countdown begins: 29 days til Christmas...

With Thanksgiving dinner just barely behind us, holiday decorations started popping up quickly over the weekend.   On Friday, residents were seen dragging out boxes and untangling lights. On Saturday, several volunteers were doing the same thing at Baxter Park on a much larger scale as they needed the help of a cherry picker to hang the 8,000 lights that decorate the area near Routes 109 and 27 each year.  On Sunday, even more residents were decking their homes with festive decorations and -- in the case of one Adams Street resident -- with a snowman clock counting the seconds til Christmas.  Tell us: Have you decorated your house yet? CONTEST: Deck Your House and Win $100K for Medfield Public Schools

Dress up your house for the holidays, submit a photo to Patch and have a chance to win $100,000 for Medfield Public Schools! A great way to celebrate the holiday season while earning money for our schools.

Patch is gearing up for another great contest and you have the opportunity to win the Medfield Public Schools $100,000! Here’s how the contest works: Beginning on Dec. 8 and continuing through Dec. 26, you can nominate your home by uploading a photo to the contest entry form on the contest site. During that same time period, you and your neighbors will also be able to vote for your favorite festive home. The winning entry will be forwarded to a national Patch judge who will select 24 finalists. Each finalist will receive $500 that he or she can apply to his or her December electric bill!
