Police Chief: Medfield 'Will Take Days' To Heal From Storm

More than 55 incidents of downed wires, broken tree limbs and trees down were reported Wednesday.

Wednesday's storm that slammed Medfield with 18.5 inches of snow left the town damaged and recovering Thursday, according to Medfield Chief of Police Robert E. Meaney Jr.  "There is a lot of damage around town that will take days to deal with," Meaney said. "That does not include the various trees that were damaged on private property and the number of electric service lines that were torn from the side of houses." The main problem caused by the heavy snow in town was downed wires and tree limbs that "interfered with snow removal operations," according to Meaney.  "Some limbs were moved by firefighters or officers and others required the Highway Department with chain saws and front end loaders," Meaney said.  Much of Medfield was without …
