With Thanksgiving dinner just barely behind us, holiday decorations started popping up quickly over the weekend. On Friday, residents were seen dragging out boxes and untangling lights. On Saturday, several volunteers were doing the same thing at Baxter Park on a much larger scale as they needed the help of a cherry picker to hang the 8,000 lights that decorate the area near Routes 109 and 27 each year. On Sunday, even more residents were decking their homes with festive decorations and -- in the case of one Adams Street resident -- with a snowman clock counting the seconds til Christmas. Deadline for teenage library space redesign contest is Monday.
The Medfield Memorial Public Library is holding a Teen Space Design Contest in which library users between the ages of 12 and 19 years old have a shot at designing the library space using their particular style. One grand prize winner and two runners up will be selected by the Teen Space Design Committee. The grand prize is a $50 gift card of choice. Each runner-up will each receive a $25 gift card. Prizes are donated by the Friends of the Medfield Library.
