Woman is Collecting Teddy Bears for Newtown

Want to help? A 20-year-old girl created a Facebook page to collect teddy bears for the students of Newtown children.

Within minutes of creating a Facebook page called "Teddys for Newtown," Alysa White had an overwhelming response. "In such a terrible time like this I want them to be comforted. I know a teddy bear is so small and can no way take all of the pain away that was caused by this day, but I hope a new fuzzy friend to hug will help," said her original post. White, 20, hopes to collect 650 brand new teddy bears to give one to all students at Sandy Hook Elementary School.  According to the page, people from all over the country want to help.  If Medfield residents would like to donate a teddy bear, it can be mailed to White at 919 W.
