Developer Salvatore Capital Partners purchased the former Mobil site on Thursday.
Town officials say plans are now in full swing to open a Starbucks in downtown Medfield by the fall. "I believe they closed as of this morning," said Assistant Town Administrator Kristine Trierweiler at Thursday's meeting of the Downtown Study Committee. "They're still on target with Starbucks," said committee Chairman Brandie Morris. "They have a 10 to 12 week construction schedule...Their goal is to be opened by September." Morris said she and Police Chief Robert Meaney Jr. met with the developer Greg Salvatore earlier on Thursday to discuss the project.
