Rt. 27 Car Chase Ends in Natick With Assault on Officer
A man fled Medfield after being pulled over for running a red light.
A car chase up Route 27 ended near the center of Natick just after midnight on Wednesday morning and resulted in the arrest of Alaric D. Robin, 22, of Brockport, N.Y. Medfield police pulled Robin over after he failed to stop at a red light and once pulled over, decided to make a run for it, said Lt. Brian Grassey of the Natick police. "There was a motor vehicle violation on South Street by Route 27," said Medfield Chief of Police Robert Meaney Jr. "The driver refused to stop the vehicle until he finally turned into a gas station in Natick." The chase, which only reached about 40 mph through Natick town center, ended at Midtown Mobile at 78 North Main St. when Robin stopped the car.
