A Closer Look at the Medfield CVS Expansion Site Plan

Representatives from CVS Pharmacy presented an overview of the store’s proposed expansion at its 555 Main St. location to the Medfield Planning Board Monday.

At a public hearing held Monday, the Medfield Planning Board reviewed the application and site plan submitted by CVS Pharmacy Inc. of a proposed renovation and expansion of the existing CVS Pharmacy at 555 Main St. The property, according to planning board chairman Wright Dickinson, is located in a “B Zoning District and is overlaid by flood plain, watershed protection and aquifer zone district.” Here’s a closer look at the proposed renovation and expansion of the current CVS building, which includes the installation of a dual drive-thru: The Plan Phil Henry, civil engineer of RJ O’Connell & Associates, presented the site plan to the Medfield Planning Board at Monday’s public hearing at Town Hall, providing a basic idea of what the project…

Planning Board to Review CVS Site Plan Tonight

Medfield’s Planning Board will meet Monday at 8 p.m. in Town Hall to review site plans and follow-up on fees and Section 5 of the Zoning Bylaw.

The Medfield Planning Board, which meets Monday at 8 p.m. in Town Hall, is expected to review site plans for the CVS expansion that will include a drive-thru window at its current location. In a Medfield Patch poll asking: “how do you feel about CVS expanding throughout its current building and adding a drive-thru window?” – 37 of 88 voters  (42 percent) responded they thought it was a “horrible idea. Have you seen the traffic congestion in the parking lot?” Twenty-three voters (26 percent) were in…

Letter to the Editor

Letter to the Editor: CVS Has 'Opportunity to be a Good Neighbor in Medfield'

Richard DeSorgher writes in to share his thoughts regarding CVS' proposed expansion throughout the 555 Main St. building that will include a drive-thru window.

To the editor; On Monday evening, Oct. 17 at 8:15 p.m. at the Planning Board meeting on the second floor of Town Hall, CVS will be requesting some zoning changes to accommodate their plan to expand their store into the area currently occupied by D’Angelo Sandwich Shop. Part of its request will also involve seeking a zoning change for a drive-thru for its pharmacy. It would be my guess CVS has done very well financially since coming to Medfield, having very little competition within the town. So I think it would be fair to say the Town of Medfield has been very good for CVS. Being a part of the Medfield community for over 25 years, CVS has clearly seen the citizens here care much about their town. Clearly, the number one draw to Medfield is…
