Cash Stolen in West Street Break-In

Business owner said $2,800 was stolen from the office during an apparant burglary on Friday.

  Sometime during the overnight hours of May 9 to May 10, the commercial building at 67 West Street was broken into. According to the Medfield safety log, on Friday, May 10, a business owner reported the break-in at 6:17 a.m.  Later that morning, two other tenants of the building reported that they had been broken into as well. Sgt. Fabbo met with the owner and several employees of the burglarized business.  According to [owner], when she came into work, she noticed that something wasn’t quite right. In her office, two cabinet doors were open but everything in her office, on her desk and in those cabinets, was undisturbed. Police Log: Smashed in Front Door and Attempted Break-In on Hearthstone Drive

Here's a look at the Medfield safety log for Nov. 21 and Nov. 22 including attempted break-in on Hearthstone Drive.

Wednesday, Nov. 21 8:49 a.m., Main Street. Caller reported a smell of gas by the Mobil station and library. Fire Chief Kingsbury said the smell is from workers taking gasoline tanks out of service at Mobil station.  11:43 a.m., station. Police assisted a resident with fingerprints. 12:55 p.m., Main Street. State police dispatch reported they a call about a motor vehicle accident with no personal injury. A wrecker was needed for one vehicle.  3:14 p.m., Farm Street. Caller reported a disabled motor vehicle at the Farm Street railroad tracks. The man lost his oil pan when going over the tracks and was waiting for a tow truck. Medfield Fire was called for some "speedy dry" for the oil spill. Police called a wrecker to move the vehicle which …
