MHS Boys Basketball Team captures a 58-55 win at Bellingham.

On Tuesday, Medfield High School's Big Blue Basketball team made an historic comeback in a game against Bellingham. Down by 26 points in the first half, the Medfield Boys Big Blue stormed back and captured a 58-55 win at Bellingham. It certainly was a tale of two halves. Bellingham shot the lights out in the first half, hitting eight three-point shots. Down 38-13 at the half, the Big Blue came out and outscored Bellingham 31-4 in the third quarter to capture the lead. Medfield Boys Hockey won its game over Medway on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the Medfield High School Boys' Hockey team did what they had to do to stay in the running for the Tri-Valley League title. The Boston Herald reports that Medfield received clutch performances from Matt Treiber, who scored two goals and had an assist for the Warriors (16-1-0), and John MacLean had a goal and an assist. MHS team collecting food to benefit Medfield Food Cupboard. Arrangements can be made for pick-up or drop-off, if you can't attend the drive.
The Medfield Boys Varsity Hockey Team will be hosting a food drive to benefit the Medfield Food Cupboard on Sunday, Feb. 17 from noon to 4 p.m. at Roche Bros in Millis. Not available that day? The Medfield High School's Boys' Varsity Big Blue Basketball team had two huge wins last week. Tuesday -- Medfield vs. Norton On Tuesday, the team defeated Norton by a score of 60-59. Highlights included: Friday -- Medfield vs. Hopkinton On Friday, the team took on first-place Hopkinton and earned a hard fought win with a final score of 61-48. Highlights included: With the win against Norton, the Big Blue qualified for the State Tournament. Both Norton and Hopkinton beat the Big Blue the first time around the schedule but not this time. Medfield had a thrilling win against Dover-Sherborn on Dec. 21.

The boy's varsity basketball team had a thrilling win on Friday night (Dec. 21) over Dover-Sherborn with a final score of Medfield 68 - D.S. 66. Down by six points midway through the fourth quarter, the team came back and showed a resilient effort versus a quality Dover-Sherborn team. Drew Shea lead the Big Blue with 24 points, John Zimmerman had 20 points and 14 rebounds. Remy Fragola chipped in with 11 points. John Pendergast, Matt Pembroke and Matt Cahill had strong defensive games.
