Medfield High School's band recently received a gold medal at the Massachusetts Instrumental & Choral Conductors Association (MICCA) held at Bellingham High School and as a result, was invited to play at Boston Symphony Hall on Saturday, April 14. Medfield High School senior Andrew Velichansky said the gold medal resembled a "superior rating" in the MICCA competition and earned the trip to Boston to play other gold medal bands. Medfield Music Director Doug Olsen directed the band at Symphony Hall this past Saturday. See the photos above for scenes from the performance.
