The annual coat drive is going on now at Blue Moon Bagel Cafe, Shaw's Plaza (Route 109).

The annual Medfield Lions Club and Blue Moon Bagel Cafe coat drive is on! Any "gently used coats" that are no longer needed, can be dropped off at Blue Moon Bagel Cafe. For the next three months, until the end of February 2013, a donation box will be available at the Blue Moon Bagel Cafe entrance.  The coats will be given to charities in the Medfield area. The Lions have made arrangements to donate coats to two Metrowest charities -- A Place to Turn (Natick) and Project Just Because (Hopkinton) -- and Rosie's Place, a charity serving needy and homeless women located in Boston. For more information or with any questions contact either Medfield Lion John Carey (508-359-4861) or Linda Freedman at Blue Moon Bagel Cafe (508-359-8880).

Kennedy Campaign Makes Stop at Medfield's Blue Moon Bagel Cafe

Joseph Kennedy III, candidate for the 4th Congressional district that now includes Medfield, stopped at Blue Moon Bagel Cafe Sunday morning.

Blue Moon Bagel Café owner Daniel Freedman and Joseph P. Kennedy III both take pride in their respective family businesses. On Sunday, Kennedy – the latest member of the political family to run for office (he is a candidate for the newly-redistricted Fourth Congressional District that now includes Medfield) – stopped at Blue Moon to meet voters and talk to Freedman, a fourth generation master baker who has a connection to the Kennedy family.   “His dad made the 44th birthday cake for [President] John F. Best Of Patch: Best Sandwich in Medfield

Vote in this week's "Best Of" poll and defend your choice in the comments section below. Then check back Friday for the winner.

Who doesn’t love a good sandwich? In a town of many eateries, there are many options for Medfield sandwich fans, but which shop serves up the best meat between two slices of bread? Many will select Italian Groceria, a well-known deli in town that offers a variety of 64 sandwiches, including your Local Editor's top choice, the regular Dagwood. And we can't discount the pizza shops: Royal Pizza, Village Pizza and Casabella. Papa Gino's and Subway provide the usual choices from the popular chain restaurants. Let’s not forget about the recently opened From Scratch – under …
