How will your finances affect your holiday spending?
Two-thirds of respondents to a recent poll by the NPD Group said they “plan to spend about the same” as last year, while 10 percent planned to “spend more.” With the economy and job situation still in flux for many families, we want to know what families in Medfield plan to do for Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa gifts in 2012. With Veterans Day over, Thanksgiving is right around the corner. The weather is changing and Medfield residents are finalizing plans with family members for that Turkey-filled Thursday that begins with the Dover-Sherborn vs. Medfield High School football game at Calvin George Fisher Memorial Field at 10 a.m. And before you know it, it's Christmas season and crowds of people will be awaking from their food comas of turkey and pumpkin pie to catch the shopping deals on Black Friday. While many wait in lines and fight the crowds on the hectic day shopping day, others feel it is not worth it.
