The Medfield High School Boys Basketball Team won their games agains Westwood and Bellingham.

The Medfield Big Blue Boy's basketball team had two more big wins last week. On Tuesday, the team had an exciting come-from-behind win vs. Westwood. Down by 17 points at half-time, the Big Blue came out in the second half a totally different team and held Westwood to just 12 second half points. Drew Shea led the team with 18 points, John Zimmerman had 16. On Friday, the team overcame a sluggish first half once again and beat Bellingham 65-32. Last weekend, MHS scored a 7-0 win over Old Rochester, and a 6-1 win over Plymouth South.

Over the weekend, they won the Canalmen Classic Tournament with a 7-0 win over Old Rochester, and a 6-1 win over Plymouth South. Pat Lawler was named MVP while Johnny Monahan earned All Tournament honors. Current team leaders include Matt Dresens with 12 goals 6 assists, Tyler Etzkorn with 6 goals 7 assits and Ben Cox with 3 goals 9 assists. Medfield lost to Bellingham, 26-6 Saturday after Friday's game was suspended due to lightning.
The Medfield High School football team lost to Bellingham 26-6, Saturday at the MHS turf. The game was resumed after being suspended Friday in the second quarter due to lightning. Medfield falls to 1-5, 0-2 this season and travels to Norton on Oct. 21. Above are scenes from Saturday's game.

Help support 12-year-old Medfield resident, William Johnson, who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy by participating in the fifth annual FSMA charity golf tournament at New England Country Club in Bellingham.
On Friday, Oct. 14, the fifth annual Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy Charity Golf Tournament will be held at the New England Country Club in Bellingham in honor of Medfield resident, William Johnson. "Our youngest son, William, was diagnosed at the age of one with Spinal Muscular Atrophy,” said William’s mother, Heidi Johnson, of Hospital Road in Medfield. “Now nearly 12, our family continues to desperately support the search for a cure with our involvement in fundraising efforts for the non-profit organization, Families of SMA.” Families of SMA was started over 26 years ago by a mom like Heidi Johnson, hoping to make a difference for her son. “Our family has been helping in the fight for over 10 years and our annual golf event has …
