Memorial School Teacher Receives Excellence in Education Award
Memorial School physical education teacher and High School basketball coach Herb Grace receives Excellence in Education award from the Goldin Foundation.
There is something special about Herb Grace that just cannot be taught, say his colleagues who were pleased – and not surprised – when he won an Excellence in Education award last month. Grace, a 1985 graduate of Medfield High School, has been teaching physical education at the Memorial School for the last 19 years. He is also the basketball coach at Medfield High School, and has also worked with and influenced other Medfield children from pre-school up to high school. “There is something really special about Herb that you just can't teach," said Susan Cowell, K-12 Wellness Department Head for Medfield Public Schools.
