Dale Street Students 'Wow' Audience; Raise $500 at Annual Talent Show

Dale Street students wowed family and friends with dancing, singing, instrumental performances, ventriliquism and even a jump rope act. The event raised $500 for the Medfield Home Committee.

The Dale Street School's 2012 Talent Show raised $500 for the Medfield Home Committee, a charity that helps Medfield families in need. This year's Emcees were Claire McNolty, a Dale Street student, and Mike Mason, Dale Street teacher and advisor.  Mrs. McNeil prepared a special slideshow depicting the children during their many practices as they prepared for Friday's performance. This year's acts included: The school offered a special "thank you" to Mrs. McNeil, the Dale Street custodians, the Dale Street teachers and staff, Medfield High School field hockey who made donations to the event, Dale Street interim principal Mrs. Argir and "especially all of the talent show performers and their families."

Leadership Transition Officially Underway at Dale Street School

Dale Street School principal Kim Cave has been with the Medfield School District for 26 years and will now serve students as the Director of Curriculum and Assessment K-12. Veteran educator Arlene Argir of Ashland will serve as interim principal.

Medfield Patch reported on Sept. 20 that longtime Dale Street School Principal Kim Cave will be leaving the school to accept a position in the Medfield Public School’s district office, becoming the Director of Curriculum and Assessment K-12. That position was left vacant after the retirement of Pam Shufro earlier this month. Now, with the first full month of school drawing to a close, the transition is officially underway.  “It is with mixed emotions that I announce I will be leaving my position as principal of Dale Street as of Oct. 28,” said Cave in a letter to parents last week. “While it saddens me to leave Dale Street, the school [where] I started my career as an educator, I look forward to the challenge of the next educational level…

Longtime Dale Street School Principal Named District’s Director of Curriculum [Video]

Dale Street School principal, Kim Cave, was named the Medfield School District’s next Director of Curriculum and Assessment while recently retired Ashland principal, Arlene Argir, will replace Cave as interim principal at Dale.

Dale Street School principal Kim Cave is leaving a place she has spent half her life to take the position of Director of Curriculum and Assessment within the Medfield School District. “I feel as though I have the opportunity to stay with Dale Street and the rest of the district and I am just so excited to work with Bob [Maguire] and really help develop new systems,” Cave said. “We have so [many] exciting things to think about and to work on. Meeting Notes: Maguire Announces Administration Changes in School District

Medfield Superintendent of Schools Bob Maguire announced the appointment of Kim Cave to the district's Director of Curriculum and Assessment and Arlene Argir as interim principal of Dale Street School.

Medfield Superintendent of Schools, Bob Maguire, announced at Monday’s School Committee meeting two administrative changes in the district. Current Dale Street School principal Kim Cave will accept the district’s director of curriculum and assessment position, vacated by Pamela Shufro, who retired prior to the start of this academic year. Arlene Argir, who has 32 years of experience as a teacher and principal in the Ashland Public School system, will replace Cave as interim principal on Oct. 31, according to Maguire. Argir retired from the Ashland Public School system this past June.
