Community Input Needed in Superintendent Search Process

In addition to sitting on the formal search committee, there are other opportunities for the public to participate in the search process such as taking a 15 minute survey or participating in a one-hour focus group.

  One of the many things that makes Medfield an attractive community to live is the Medfield Public School system. The head of that school system, currently Superintendent Robert Maguire, has a great responsibility to maintain its reputation of excellence.  Maguire will retire from that position in June. The School Committee is currently searching for his replacement and seeking community input in that search.  School Committee Chairman Debbie Norschese said there are several ways people can get involved in the search such as: "Becoming involved in the search gives them the opportunity to give us their perspective for the district as well as characteristics and qualities they would like to see in the next Superintendent," said Norschese. …

Members Needed for Superintendent Search Committee

The last day to submit an application (attached here) is Jan. 28.

  The Medfield School Committee continues to seek community members to join the Superintendent Search Committee to replace current Superintendent Robert Maguire who will retire at the end of June. Anyone interested in serving on the search committee should fill out the attached application and send it to Debra Nochese, Chair, School Committee, Medfield Public Schools, 459 Main Street, 3rd Floor, Medfield, no later than Jan. 28. Interested parties can also email kleader@medfield.mec.edu  The first meeting of the search committee will be Feb. 28. State Officials Visit Proposed Medfield Cultural District

Massachusetts Cultural Council reps came to town last week to check out the proposed Medfield Cultural District.

  Members of the Massachusetts Cultural Council paid a visit to Medfield last week to tour the proposed Medfield Cultural District and meet with the partners, participants and stakeholders in the district which is suggested to reach from Vine Lake Cemetery to the Peak House. "Their site visit is the culmination of the Medfield Cultural District’s application for state recognition as a cultural district," said MEMO President Brandie Morris, noting there have been 14 other newly-created districts in the state over the past year.
