Vara: Medfield High School Students 'Having Fun' with Activities for Life Course

Editor's note: The following article was written by MHS student Nicholas Dante Vara, a member of the student newspaper, "The Kingsbury Chronicle."Vara's piece is part of Medfield Patch's weekly series, "Warrior Weekly," which appears every Wednesday.

The Activities for Life class has become a popular choice for students at Medfield High School. Current freshmen and sophomores flock to the gym during their lunch period, eager to catch a glimpse of the class’s plan for the day. On the first day, Medfield High School Athletic Director and teacher, Mr. Jon Kirby, met with the class and together, they planned a week’s worth of activities. The activities go as follows: Dodge Ball Monday, Scurry Hockey Tuesday, Mat Ball Wednesday, Pickle Ball Thursday, and Fun Friday, where students have the freedom to choose their own activity. “Activities for Life is a time where I can leave the classroom and just have a fun time,” said senior Michael Mulrey. “We’re all out here with one goal in mind, and …
