Medfield’s Worthy, Robertson Shine in Track Postseason
Medfield track’s Taylor Worthy broke the school record in the 800 meter run and Ian Robertson closed in on the school’s record for the one-mile run at the MIAA All-State Track and Field Outdoor Championships.
One Medfield High School trackster broke a school record while the other closed in on one while placing in their respected events at the MIAA All-State Track and Field Outdoor Championships at Fitchburg State University on June 5. Taylor Worthy broke Medfield High School’s 800 meter run record with a time of 2:17.40, placing sixth in the state meet. Worthy’s time qualified her for this past weekend’s New England Championship meet in Saco, Maine, where she placed 13th out of 30 runners in the 800m with a time of 2:21.37.
